A lone structure of white brick and stone stands tall in an otherwise unremarkable, yet serene mountain pass. Only dwarven miners, caravan traders and the odd scholar are aware of said ruins. Ruins that many moons ago was once a renowned castle called by the name Fenncraag. No one has ever dared to explore it. For as one approaches, the sky shifts to a dark green glow, the air becomes poisoned, ghostly whispers fill the mind, and lastly, the doors are sealed shut. As there is a curse placed upon Fenncraag, to seal away an ancient, unknown evil.

Unfortunately, the centuries old curse is weakening, and that which is locked beneath the castle grounds is beginning to break free. And so after exhausting every last option, the bordering kingdoms have sent a lone, but powerful sorceress to resolve this matter, quietly and discretely. And thus begins her journey, through perilous peaks and valleys, and into a wretched palace of old evil. There she must make a choice: Break the curse and destroy what emerges? Or sustain it and keep the evil asleep until it might rise again? Her path quickly became clear – The demon, the djinn, the monster, whatever it might be, must die.

This is The Curse of Fenncraag.

Meta notes:
This offering is a homage to old school dungeon synth, classic RPGs, and all things fantasy. And Secret Sorcery is the embodiment of these elements; a way of paying tribute to those who came before. Simple, rudimentary, low fidelity dark dungeon synth. This project and the accompanying story are mildly inspired by The Witcher (I can't resist, I'm sorry).

Melodically complex, hopeful sounding Dungeon Synth music, very evocative as far as the fantasy theme goes... there is a pretty heavy layer of reverb on these tracks that suits them very well and adds significantly to the epic feel.
